This mug is part of my experimental glaze series, combining expressive surface design with functional kitchenware. My current inspiration has come from a new orchid flower I’ve been growing. I was especially drawn to the contrast of its delicate white petals against the rich burgundy markings. Wanting to preserve that feeling within my ceramics, I created this piece using a glossy white glaze layered with deep burgundy speckling and soft, petal-like detailing.
Each mug in this series is an exploration of colour, texture, and natural form, making every piece slightly unique while still being made for everyday use.
