Driftwood

£175.00

This piece is part of my experimental glaze series, inspired by the textures and colours found along the coastline. The surface was influenced by driftwood. I wanted to capture those soft natural tones alongside the warm brown and almost golden tones often seen in sun-bleached wood resting on the shore.

Hints of blue glaze flow through the piece like accents of seawater against the wood, adding contrast and movement while enhancing its coastal feel. The combination of earthy warmth and cooler ocean tones gives the piece a calm, natural presence, almost as though it has been shaped by the elements themselves. Each glaze reaction and texture developed uniquely during firing, making every detail feel organic and one of a kind.
